Terms and Conditions

Payment for all Fundog Gundog courses, pre-assessments and private training must be made in advance. It is not possible to attend a course unless payment has been received.  Please note that it is the student’s responsibility to ensure that payments are made in full and on time. If you fail to pay in full within the specified time frames your booking will be automatically cancelled.

Policy Overview
At Fundog Gundog we understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule your dog training session. However, as a small business, last-minute cancellations and no-shows significantly impact our schedule and ability to provide our services to other clients. To ensure that we can continue to offer the highest quality training services, we have implemented the following cancellation policy.

1. Cancellation Notice Requirement
   We kindly ask that you provide at least 5 working days if you need to cancel or reschedule your dog training session. This allows us to offer the slot to another client who may be waiting for an appointment.

2. Late Cancellations (Less Than 5 days Notice)
   Cancellations made within 5 working days of the scheduled session will not be eligible for a refund. This policy is necessary to compensate for the time reserved for your session that cannot be reallocated on short notice.

3. No-Show Policy
   If you do not show up for your scheduled session without any prior notice, the full session fee will be charged, and no refund will be issued.

4. Rescheduling Policy
   If you need to reschedule your session, please do so with at least 5 days notice. Rescheduling within 5 days of the appointment may result in the session fee being forfeited, as per the cancellation policy.

5. Packages
   For clients who have purchased packages of 3 or 6 sessions in advance, please note that a session will be deducted from your package if a late cancellation or no-show occurs, in accordance with the policies outlined above.

6. How to Cancel or Reschedule
   To cancel or reschedule your session, please contact us directly via phone at 07503 336019 or email philippa@fundoggundog.com . If you reach our voicemail, please leave a detailed message with your name, your dog’s name, and your appointment details.

7. Policy Acknowledgment
   By booking an appointment with Fundog Gundog, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by this cancellation policy.

While our cancellation policy is designed to protect both our time and our clients’ commitments, we understand that unique situations may arise. Therefore, we do reserve the right to waive the non-refundable policy at our discretion.

This means that in certain extreme circumstances, where we are able to re-fill your spot we may choose to allow a rescheduling or refund despite the cancellation occurring within 5 working days.

Injured dogs and bitches in season
Please do not bring a sick or injured dog or a bitch in seasons to class. I encourage you to still attend on your own as most of the learning can be done without the dog present.

Course Content
Fundog Gundog reserves the right to change the content, timing, date, venue and/or tutor of the course. Fundog Gundog reserves the right to cancel a course up to and including the date of the course and will strive to give as much notice of this as possible. Individuals booked onto a cancelled course will be given the option of a full refund or taking a place on an alternative or re-scheduled course date. Fundog Gundog will not be liable for any losses or expenses arising from amendments to the course or cancellations.

Intellectual Property
Fundog Gundog remains the owner of all intellectual property in course materials. Course materials are supplied only for your personal use.  No part of the materials may be copied, recorded or reproduced without the permission of Fundog Gundog.    

Data Protection
Any personal information you give to us will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. I / We will use the information to process your booking, to provide the course and to inform you about similar courses that we provide, unless you tell us that you do not want to receive this information. Any personal data you provide may be held on computer files.

Dogs
Fundog Gundog and any venue at which a Fundog Gundog course is held will not be held responsible for dogs being kept in vehicles, or harm incurred to any dog(s), as a result of being left unattended in vehicles at any of our courses. Anyone bringing a dog(s) to any Fundog Gundog event is responsible for that dog(s) and its welfare at all times. Fundog Gundog accepts no responsibility for any dog or its welfare at any Fundog Gundog activity.

The following policies are in the interests of all participants and their dogs and by registering for a class with Fundog Gundog you agree to the following:

• Keep your dog close to you and under control at all times.

• Dogs are to be kept on a lead unless instructed otherwise during a training exercise.

• Please contact us before enrolling if your dog has aggression issues. Dogs that have aggression and fear concerns will need one on one intervention before enrolling in a group class environment.

• Do not allow your dog to approach other dogs. Despite the need for owners to socialise their dogs, a strange dog approaching a sensitive dog can cause them to show aggression as a defence strategy.

• Fundog Gundog has the right to remove a dog and owner from the class (without a refund) if they feel the dog’s behaviour is not managed adequately by the owner and is therefore putting the other participants at risk.

• Please encourage your dogs to relieve themselves before class. Should a dog relieve themselves before or during class, anywhere in or outside the training area, the owner will need to clean up and dispose of the waste away from the venue.

• Please do not allow your dog to urinate on any Fundog Gundog equipment, this encourages others to do the same. This is equipment and materials that the trainer has to handle, please be respectful.

• All dogs should be fully protected by vaccination before attending classes.

• Harsh handling is strictly forbidden. If it continues after an initial warning, the dog and owner will be asked to leave (without a refund).

• The dog and any other person that is brought to class is the owner’s sole responsibility. Fundog Gundog cannot accept responsibility for any injury, loss or damage to person or property that occurs while attending a class.

• Children are welcome but they cannot attend on their own (without adult supervision) if under 18 years old.

Please read the classes section above and in addition note that:
Should you be running late, please inform me / us of your delay if possible. It may still be feasible to run the session, although your session may not be extended beyond your booked slot.

Fundog Gundog may take photos or videos for social media, advertising or instructional use (which in some cases may be part of the learning event itself). If you do not wish to appear in photos or videos at all, please let us know at the beginning of an event.

Fundog Gundog reserves the right to unilaterally amend and update the above Terms and Conditions at any time.

By accessing the Fundog Gundog website, you are agreeing to be bound by these website Terms and Conditions, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this website are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.
